In Ayurveda, the three Doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—are energies that influence health and personality. Vata governs movement, Pitta manages metabolism, and Kapha provides structure. Vata
The Vata Dosha represents the elements of air and space, governing movement, energy, and creativity in the body and mind. People with a dominant Vata are often energetic, quick-thinking, and lean but may experience dryness, anxiety, and variable digestion. Balancing warmth, grounding, and routine helps stabilize Vata.
Pitta
The Pitta Dosha embodies fire and water elements, governing metabolism, digestion, and transformation in the body and mind. From a young age, I was captivated by the healing power of medicine and the science behind it. Yet, as I explored various approaches, I found myself increasingly disillusioned with conventional Western medicine, which seemed to prioritize symptom management over addressing the root causes of illness.

I wanted a path that allowed me to live in harmony with nature, supporting my family and children without the side effects and dependencies that often come with conventional medications. This desire led me to seek a more holistic, evidence-based approach that considers the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

As I delved deeper, I discovered a range of healing traditions, including Chinese medicine, herbal therapies, naturopathy, and polarity therapy. Many of these practices have profound connections to Ayurveda and are grounded in a respect for nature’s balance and the body's own healing capacities.
